Finding your perfect awning
A retractable patio awning is a great way to control sun and rainfall within any outdoor area. Whether your entertaining family and friends, or just looking to stay cooler during the summer months, an awning can provide shade and protection when you need it most. Add accessories such as lighting or heating for added comfort in the evenings, and enjoy being outside even when the sun is lower in the sky.
Different types of patio awnings are available based on the area you are looking to cover. The three types include open, semi and full cassette. For most customers we recommend a full cassette awning as it comes with a full protective enclosure which prevents the awning fabric from being exposed to the elements. Other options include open and semi cassette which are ideal for less exposed areas which don’t require the same level of protection. These have their own unique design features which can make them ideal for certain outdoor spaces, such as the Markilux 930 which is ideal for balcony areas as it pivots in a horizontal position for installation below a soffit.
