What is it?
Global Shading Day is an international event dedicated to raising awareness about the numerous benefits of shading in reducing energy consumption, enhancing comfort, and fostering climate-resilient buildings. Established by the European Solar Shading Organisation (ES-SO), this annual event emphasises the importance of integrating shading solutions into building designs to combat the escalating challenges posed by climate change.

- Europe is the fastest warming continent with temperatures rising at around twice the global average rate.
- Traditional building techniques, like shading and natural ventilation, can help keep buildings cool without A.C.
