Markilux Pergola Overview
- Wall fixed or mounted to the freestanding Syncra frame system, the Markilux Pergola is a durable fabric roof terrace awning with front post supports.
- Markilux 8000 full cassette design awning.
- Slender front support posts for quality aesthetics.
- Stylish range of frame colours & vast fabric choice.
- Remote control operation with wireless wind sensor as standard.
- Front profile with integrated gutter and hidden water drainage spouts.
- Manual Shadeplus option for additional vertical sun protection.
- The “Tracfix” guide option ensures the fabric is fully sealed within the track to ensure no water or light ingress.
- The Markilux Pergola comes with the option on lower the front support post using a winch handle. This ensures effective water drainage at a 7° pitch as opposed to the traditional 14° recommendation associated with folding-arm awnings if there is limited cassette fixing height.
- Maximum width of 5000mm & maximum projection of 6000mm or width of 6000mm & projection of 4500mm in a single unit. Coupled units available up to 12000mm wide.
The cassette profile, guide tracks, front profile and front support posts complement one another perfectly and result in a large yet very elegant patio shading system.
Large scale awning system resting on slender posts with unobtrusive lateral guide tracks for long-lasting attractiveness.
The awning is powder coated in the standard colours traffic white, metallic aluminium, grey brown or anthracite metallic.
When fully extended the rounded front profile sits flush with the end of the guide tracks, giving the system a completely homogeneous appearance.
The Markilux Pergola is designed and engineered in Germany.
Especially large extensions provide generous shade with high wind stability (wind resistance class 3).
Simple installation: fixture of the cassette to the wall and the posts to concrete footings by means of base plates.
Standard height of the front support posts 250 cm, other heights (from 36 cm to 250 cm) on request.
Vertical, manual adjustment of the support post by between 20 cm and 40 cm (dependent on the awning size) by means of winch handle-operated gearbox inside the post (Pergola 210 only).
The round, front support posts further stabilise the awning in addition to the fixture points on the façade – this reduces the pull-out forces on the façade.
Water drainage is guaranteed at a minimum pitch of 14° to the horizontal, the maximum possible pitch is 45°.
Coupled units up to 3 units wide are available upon request for both models.
Vertical solar protection and more privacy is optionally available with the 230 cm high shadeplus / drop valance.
Radio-controlled motor with Markilux remote control – ergonomically shaped.
Polyester powder coating in non-standard colours is available to order (prices on request, longer lead time required).
Wall sealing profile to cover the gap between awning and wall; effective up to an awning pitch of 25°.
Closed appearance thanks to optional Tracfix system without the annoying gap between the cover and the guide track.
Markilux patio awnings use high tech water resistant and self cleaning fabrics woven in Germany. Most have achieved the highest possible solar protection factor for textiles (UPF 50+) in independent tests by the Hohenstein Institute.
With over 250 colours and patterns available, from the modern Visutex collection to the timeless Classics range, there is a fabric for everyone. Most patio awning fabrics are classified as either Sunsilk, which is a single woven fabric providing a silky smooth finish and brilliant luminosity, or Sunvas, which is double woven to deliver a softer luminosity. For additional water and fire protection the Sunsilk or Sunvas Perla are available for a 5% surcharge on the awning price.

The below frame colours are available at no extra cost. Together with the vast range of fabric patterns on offer, they offer an almost endless choice of finishes for every awning.
If you have something else in mind, it is possible to powder coat your awning any RAL colour (surcharge applies). This gives you the flexibility to match existing features on your home or, for commercial awnings, reinforce brand colours.
